Update on Waste Management

I wanted to give you an update on recent developments in Waste Management around our lake.  As you know, several of our bin sites have been identified as “High Priority” by the District of Muskoka Engineering and Public Works department and the Ministry of Environment.

As a result of the COVID 19 emergency measures, some of these bin sites remain as they were last year:

·        Rockhaven

·        Denne’s winter site

·        Riley Lake

Studies are under way by Engineering & Public Works as to how arrangements will change after the emergency measures are lifted.  Work is ongoing on these sites, but no specific measures can be identified at this time.
